Focus: Deepen relationships within our church body

Goal: To create small groups of individuals and families based on common interests, to support the members of the congregation when in need, and to provide opportunities for fellowship throughout the year, all build unity within the church.

God's Accomplishments

Activities for 2006

• Complete an inventory of existing small groups and collect information on attendance.
• Survey the congregation to determine preferences and needs for small groups
• Establish a small group to identify and support individuals and families in need in the congregation
• Create fellowship opportunities on a monthly basis for the entire congregation
• Establish a “Help List” to assist in matching CUMC member resources and skills with needs
• Encourage each member to help another out through a personal act of service at least once this year.
• Improve our “prayer chain” by re-establishing the phone prayer chain for those that do not have e-mail.
