Announcements for October 25

Cookie Connection is back in full swing

We resumed the Wed after school cookie program today. The kids were so excited to see us!! Thank you to everyone who baked cookies. They loved them. Thank you to everyone who helped serve!! We cannot do this without our volunteers. Next week we start our small interest groups with the kids. We want to offer football, basketball, karaoke, Wii, and making fleece knot blankets for the cold weather shelter. We are in need of both volunteers and supplies. We would like the volunteers to make a 3 week commitment to work with the youth. We, of course, need cookies. We are using about 28 dozen a week. We need packages of scoop and bake cookies. Pillsbury chocolate chip and sugar cookies are the top 2.  We also use the break apart packs.  Thank you so much, Lysia

ONLY ONE MORE WEEK TO BRING IN PENNIES FOR THE “PENNIES FOR POTATOES CONTEST.” Who will win the adults or kids and what will the winning group have Miss Mindy do?????

It's so easy being Green (Fundraising)

Start saving your empty Capri Sun and/or Honest Kids juice pouches and your empty Kashi product boxes. Look for collection boxes next week! We are participating in a recycling program sponsored by Terracycle.net where our trash is re-imagined into cool new products. This is an easy way to help turn our trash into cash for youth ministry!
And, did you know that the average household in the US has 3 old cell phones lying about? We will also be collecting used cell phones (and perhaps ink cartridges) to raise money for youth ministry. A collection box is by the Admin Office.
