Winter Coats and Blankets: We are collecting gently used or new winter coats & blankets for Calvary UMC (2^nd Street, Frederick) to help their mission for the homeless. Contact Edie for more information.

Children’s Christmas Pageant practice every Sunday during Children’s Choir Practice: 10:30 am in Room 113.  Adults & Children needed. Contact Alex B ASAP. The pageant will be shared with the congregation on Sunday, Dec. 20th at 10:30a.m.  Those who worship at 9am are invited to stay for the pageant from 10:30 to 11, and then go to Sunday school or home.  Those who come for the 10:30 service will begin with the pageant and then stay for the message.  

 Kids Rock-Baby Shower for Jesus.   December 5-5:30-8:30pm Ages 3 yrs - 5th grade.  Come and celebrate the birth of Jesus.  Bring a new and wrapped baby gift to donate to Carenet Pregnancy Center. Light dinner will be served.  Crafts, games, lesson, and fun!  Contact Kerri R.

Survivors of Suicide Day, Saturday, Nov 21 from 12 noon - 4 pm at CUMC.  Program includes a conference, guest panel and closing remarks. Lunch provided by Subway. To register contact CUMC

Hanging of the Greens, December 5, 11 am - 2 pm. Come & create a joyful place to share Advent & Christmas. 

Each year, Christ Church invites congregants to share their Poinsettias to decorate the altar area. We do not specify size or color but enjoy everyone’s gifts.  Plants may be taken home after the Christmas Eve Services.

No Cookie Connection this Wednesday, Nov. 25. There is no school.

Parenting Small Group and Bible Study on Thursday, from 7-8:30 pm.  No class this week.  Thanksgiving. We will be using the book, “The Space Between” by Dr. Walt Mueller as our guide. Explore how to understand the teenage years, how to effectively fulfill your God-given role as a parent, build healthy, positive & God-honoring relationships and gain courage and hope that can only be found in Christ. Tuesday Morning Worship & DISCIPLE Bible Study in East Frederick 

All are welcome to join us for worship and prayer on Tuesday mornings 10:00am at Grace Trinity UCC (the brick church on Baltimore Rd. next to Mt. Carmel).  The brief service will be followed at 10:30 with Disciple Bible Study.  You do not have to be in Disciple to come to worship all are welcome.

Monday, November 30 is Women’s Coffee Time at 9:30 am. Location to be announced.

 It's so easy being Green & Fundraising

Start saving your empty Capri Sun and/or Honest Kids juice pouches and your empty Kashi product boxes. Look for collection boxes next week! We are participating in a recycling program sponsored by Terracycle.net where our trash is re-imagined into cool new products. This is an easy way to help turn our trash into cash for youth ministry!  Collection sites in both lobbies.

 And, did you know that the average household in the US has 3 old cell phones lying about? We will also be collecting used cell phones (and perhaps ink cartridges) to raise money for youth ministry.

 Why do we have a Newsletter?  It’s another way to stay connected & to keep all upcoming church activities in one place. Also it eliminates Bulletin inserts.  If you are planning an event, Donna & Dot will be happy to work with you to create an eye catching announcement for the Newsletter.  Contact us at least a month before the event.  The December Newsletter is going to press now.  What would you like in the January issue?
